-Twain Harte Miniature Golf (WALK TO);
-Pinecrest Lake, boating, pontoon/party boats, swimming, fishing, hiking, day on the beaches w/a picnic (18.7 MILES);
***This is an absolutely beautiful, fun lake, and I cannot recommend a day on this lake enough!!! Renting pontoon/party boats are so much fun, and provides a fantastic day for family and friends (2 sizes available - Jr. Boat 10 people or Large 15 people) Aside from pontoon/party boats, kayaks, paddle boats, sailboats, and motor boats are also available to rent. 2020 Rate Sheet @ Pinecrest Lake -- Hiking around Pinecrest is also very lovely. It's just a lovely spot on this planet, and we do hope you'll spend at least one day enjoying this family oriented gem!
-Beardsley Lake: If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, and gorgeous lake, Beardsley is for you! You may water ski, boat, fish, picnic, and enjoy the beauty of this very primitive lake. Boat launch, and picnic tables, along with bathrooms. Set off of Hwy 108, the road down to the lake is closed during winter, but what a gorgeous place for a picnic & day excursion! I highly recommend!
-Horse back riding - Aspens Meadows or Drive through the Dardanelle's, to Kennedy Meadow's Resort & Pack Station (Summer).
-Lake Tulloch is not too far; New Melones not far either!
*******WINTER******* PLEASE, TRAVEL RESPONSIBLY - CHECK WEATHER & ROAD CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU DEPART - BE SURE TO TRAVEL WITH CHAINS AND/OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE - ROADS ARE PLOWED, BUT CHAINS AND/OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE MAY STILL BE REQUIRED *** We do not refund for storms and/or weather conditions, unless roads are completely impassable, in which case we will contact you. Intellicast Weather for Twain Harte
-Dodge Ridge Ski Resort (21.7 MILES)
-Pinecrest Lake ~ turns into a great place to take the kids for free sledding! They drain the lake and when it snows it makes for a natural landscape of fun little hills and areas to bring kids for a day of sledding. This is where I brought my son when he was little w/his friends, and they all had fun! Tuolumne County really asks that all visitors pick up, and take out their trash/garbage/broken sleds, etc.
-Little Sweden ~ not an official sledding park, simply a spot off HWY 108 where people pull over to the side of the road and utilize the hill as a free sled area. Parking here is very difficult, and is clearly marked as to where you can and cannot park. If you do decide to sled at Little Sweden, everyone in Tuolumne County really asks that all visitors pick up, and take out their trash/garbage/broken sleds, etc. I still recommend Pinecrest Lake for free sledding.
-Long Barn Lodge Ice Skating Rink (7.6 MILES)
-Leland Meadows Snow Park
-We hope you'll consider spending holidays up in the Sierra High Country at Peace of Your Harte! We cherish these special times, and will ensure you feel as if you've entered a holiday home!
-Bear Valley Snowmobile (67 miles or about 1.5 hour drive pending road conditions)
-Twain Harte Fitness has a full schedule, please see their website (you can walk to TH Fitness).
-Twain Harte Used Books - Excellent little gem of a place in case you need a larger choice of reading material (you can walk to TH Used Books).
