It was an amazing place in the heart of nature, very comfortable and welcoming. Laura is a very special host. I recommand this place with no hesitation : it's the perfect way to enjoy your trip in California near Yosemite !

"This is our second time rental is house. The place is always clean. There are doggie treats for the fur family that come with us. The rooms are a nice size. The beds are comfortable. “We had a fabulous time at Laura’s place! The cabin is a perfect location for walking to the lake. The kids brought bikes and had plenty of space to circle the cabin and play in the “forest” as they called it. We had amazing meals on the large, completely fenced deck. The house is a great layout and all one story —that was super helpful for grandparents to get around and our aging dog. We used the AC and were grateful for it! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We felt very comfortable and look forward to returning back in the winter! Highly recommend!”

“Great place to stay in Twain Harte. We walked from the house down to the center of town many times to grab a coffee, eat dinner, and play golf. It's very conveniently located. Laura provides super clear instructions and offers some nice little touches for guests including access to games. Nice to be on a cul-de-sac that is reasonably private without a lot of traffic.”

“The little Peace of Your Harte lake cottage was very charming. Laura provided many considerate and thoughtful details and supplies. The bed was the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept in! It had microfiber sheets and what felt like a hybrid coil/memory foam thick mattress. But most important, a feeling of calm relaxation came over me as I entered and stayed with me the entire visit. “Cabin B is perfect for 2-3 people visiting the Sierra Foothills. Twaine Harte is a quaint, quiet little mountain village with a private lake. The cabin is filled with thoughtful touches and very clear information including a Guide with tips for the area. We had a great time staying here and hiking and swimming in alpine lakes. Pinecrest is 20 min. away and best during the week. The cabin has a sweet deck, AC, comfortable bed, lots of kitchen utensils, great wifi and cable tv. Laura is a very responsive and attentive host.”

“We had a great stay at Laura’s cabin. The place is really adorable and very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, there were lots of fun games (corn hole!), and shelves of books to choose from. We loved that we could bring our 3 little dogs (thank you Laura for the dog treats!). Best of all Laura was very quick to respond throughout the whole process. We felt well taken care of and hope to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!”

"I enjoy all three of Laura’s cabins. They never disappoint. This cabin has plenty of parking. It is located on a quiet street. Very close to down town Twain Harte. The beds are so comfortable and cozy. Laura has everything in the kitchen you could possibly need. Plenty of extra blankets linens etc. I love that she allows our furry friends to be with us on vacation. There is even dog bowls if you forget your pups dishes. We will definitely stay at one of Laura’s cabins soon."

"This was a wonderful place for us to getaway and unwind from the daily grind. Very pet and family friendly. The enclosed deck was the highlight for our small boys, who loved running around, playing cars and reporting to us all the new things they saw and it was nice to relax knowing it was enclosed and a safe place for them to play. The cabin is situated in a quiet neighborhood and is quite cozy and well furnished. Laura is a great host who took the time to leave a few goodies behind for us and our pup (she loved her doggy treats!). We will definitely be thinking about coming back in the future."

"We stayed at Peace of Your Harte over Christmas and had an absolutely amazing time! The house is so beautiful and Laura went above and beyond to set up Christmas decorations for us throughout the house...she even put up a Christmas tree for us!! We had 6 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of room! Table was big enough for us all to eat our meals together, kitchen was so well equipped and the house is located right next to downtown Twain Harte. We were able to take the quick stroll to enjoy the park, wine tasting and some golf as well. The bed sheets were *so* soft and all in all it was a special way to spend our Christmas. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again with our family. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you Laura, for all your hard work setting it and and providing such a well stocked and beautiful home! We will remember this Christmas forever! -Nicole"

"My family had such a wonderful Thanksgiving and stay at Peace of your Harte cabins. The location is beautiful and walking distance to the lake! I really appreciate how Both cabins were decorated for fall and so cozy, it made for a very festive Thanksgiving. The cabins were also very well stocked! From the kitchen to the bathrooms to firewood. If anyone has little kids or babies you will really appreciate the fact that there is a high chair, pack and play, potty seat, etc...traveling with all that extra stuff can be quite a pain. Lots of entertainment for kids and adults. I can go on and on about how much I loved our week away but you’ll have to see it and experience it for yourself! Definitely would love to stay again in Summer to enjoy that gorgeous lake! Highly recommend!!"

“Came to get away from the hectic city and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountain area, found the perfect house in which to do exactly that. "We really enjoyed our two nights at this adorable cabin! We had to find a place that was dog friendly for my friends dog and this was surely the place indeed! I was a little worried it would smell or not be so clean for being dog friendly, but that was not the case at all! I love the cabin decor and the living room, and kitchen are so big and open to be able to visit with everyone. The rooms are a little small, but you are only sleeping in them. The beds are amazingly comfortable, and the sheets are softer than my expensive bamboo sheets at home! I am a sheet snob and this was a PLUS for me! The deck was really big and the table and chairs large enough for us to sit around. I will definitely come again and recommend this cabin to others! OH..and we had some fun treats, water and gadgets waiting for us upon our arrival. Such a great touch!"

"This was a wonderful home close to everything and perfect for our family of four with 2 kids (5 year old and 18 months). "We just left today and were sad to go! My husband and I brought our three kids, ages 5, 3, and 4 months, and were joined by my in-laws. There was plenty of space for us and the beds were comfy. Everything we needed for the baby was provided there so that made it so easy! The cabin is located near so many wonderful tourist destinations which was perfect for us. We were also fortunate to arrive just as a lot of snow was falling so the kids had a ball! Wonderful memories were made and we hope to be back before long!"

"Great sized and located cabin in Twain Harte! We are a family of 6, and we had plenty of lounging/movie watching space. We were walking distance to several restaurants and a supermarket. Laura was super communicative and left thoughtful and helpful notes/tips so we could make the most of our time. The smart tv with full cable was especially appreciated by the young ones in our group, and the single level layout was appreciated by the elder folks :) There was also an assortment of toys and games that were great. My 6 yo had itchy eyes during our stay as he's allergic to dogs, but as a pet lover I appreciate when vacation rentals allow pets, it's not a common feature. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Twain Harte area, particularly if travelling with dog(s)."

"We had such a great weekend at Laura’s cabin!!! The cabin has a great layout as the Living spaces were far enough from the bedrooms so our baby good go to sleep while the other kids were still up. The cabin is completely stocked with everything you need (kitchen, toys, extra mattresses, pillows, towels,....). It is centrally located and is a fun place to stay year round. We came in winter now but would love to come back in the summertime to enjoy the lakes. Thanks to Laura for the hospitality and the cute extra’s. She has a wonderful place there."

“You're going to love the close proximity to Twain Harte Lake, golfing and the downtown area. This home is situated in a perfect spot above the well-travelled Golf Club circle, yet is within close walking distance to the lake. Great for families with a variety of board games and an air-hockey table. The bookshelf delighted us. 5 minute walk to the Lake/Glacial Rock--best in the summer. Other tourist delights are Columbia State Park (1800's town with stage coach rides and rock climbing), and Jamestown (lots of Antique stores). The modern kitchen merges with the real-firewood burning living room. Would go back in a Harte-beat (located in Twain-Harte, named for authors Mark Twain & Bret Harte). Cozy and very comfortable. Two bathrooms with showers, deck with grill.”

"We had a wonderful vacation here. The cabin had plenty of space for our family of six plus two Great Danes. A high chair, pack n play, and baby monitor was provided which made our stay so much more convenient without bringing those bulky items with us. We were so thankful to be allowed to bring our dogs as well. There is no secured area to let them out, but we managed. Laura was very kind and offered any help we could have needed. The house is well equipped and we were able to cook meals etc. My older kids LOVED all the games and we enjoyed spending family time together without leaving the home. The neighborhood was quiet and felt private. Restaurants nearby were good and the town was pleasant. This is an older cabin, so naturally there some are basic issues with the house: older carpet in some areas, kitchen drawers a little rickety etc. We did not mind at all, but if your particular about things being in new condition this cabin is not newly renovated. Laura was an excellent host and I highly recommend staying at this location."

Also Laura left us delicious cookies and water bottles in the refrigerator, and left a small gift;) She was always answering all my questions I had, & I had a lot of them:) But all of them got answered. The kitchen&bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed! The town is close by walk, and a lot of interesting places are near too. Twain Harte is a Peace of my Harte now! The house was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed and it was super helpful having notes strategically placed around the house to explain how to use the various amenities (septic toilet, radiant heater, etc). The bed in the master bedroom where we stayed was very comfortable as well. Laura’s a wonderful host who responds quickly to emails and makes sure you have everything you need. "The house was as described and easy to find. Check-in was very easy. I appreciated that Laura left the key for us at a designated location since we got in very late. The lights and heater was left on for us. The beds and linens were very comfortable. My family appreciated the treats and gifts upon arrival. I loved that the house was fully stocked with many magazines, movies, and games. We were sad we could not enjoy the house to the fullest because there was a power outage the morning after we checked it. We had left minutes after the power outage to make our 10 am skii lessons at Dodge Ridge. We figured the power would come back on within 2 hours like the welcome book suggested and didn't think much of it. We arrived back at 4:30 pm with still no power. Long story short, there was a big outage in a lot of areas due to the storm (completely out of Laura's control). We couldn't stay the night because it was too cold and we couldn't subject our kids to the low temperature. All the heating sources were electric based. Laura was super understanding that we had to cut our trip short and worked something out with us. I definitely would love to go back and enjoy a whole weekend there. My family had fun during the short time we were there. Thank you Laura for sharing your beautiful home with us."

"Hi Rosa, I want to thank you again for your understanding in light of mother nature's wrath, and PG&E, and all of our handymen working overtime and running out of supplies. Even though this was a really rare situation, mom and I are currently, expressly and actively working to get our own backup system installed so that if this ever happens again, our own generator is right at the home. Maybe you'll come back during another season?!!! Or if winter is your favorite, very soon we will be fully armed for any storm outage, small or huge -such as this particular beast was. We drove to Bear Valley and went sledding, we went to Columbia State Park and experienced a bit of history, we hiked along the PG&E ditch ( if you haven't gone, it's a great little stroll ) , we ate in town at the Sportsman and the Epperson House and went ice skating in Long Barn. The kitchen was fully supplied. My mother in law and I bought a ham and all the fixings for an early Christmas dinner, and I must say, anything we needed was right there in arms reach. TITLE: A REAL GEM! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
"When I rented this property I struck pay dirt. It was cozy and comfortable and had the best view of the pine trees which is exactly what I like to see when I'm in Twain Harte. The king bed was comfortable and the sheets soft and silky and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of seating in the living area. We hunkered down on a rainy Sunday afternoon watching football in the two recliners that faced the large flat screen TV. On Monday the weather was better and we drove up to Pinecrest and hiked around the lake. This is a great base camp for day trips be it Pinecrest or Yosemite which is a 2 hour drive to the Valley. Laura was very responsive from the first email I sent inquiring about the property and we appreciated all the nice touches she had prepared prior to our arrival. I look forward to my next stay at Peace of Your Harte and would not hesitate to recommend this property. Thank you Laura!"

“Had a lovely experience here. The cabin was decorated for Christmas, snacks and drinks were available for us, and there were a plethora of amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. The cabin was so well furnished that it felt like we actually lived there. Two mornings we woke up to see dear in the front yard eating the foliage. Laura was very helpful to answer any question and has a quick response rate of normally under a hour. Overall I recommend the cabin and Laura to anyone who wishes to experience a true home away from home."

“My husband, our 2-year-old daughter, and I just spent four nights at Peace of Your Harte and had a lovely time. Laura is a true Superhost - she clearly cares about her home and her guests. She was extremely responsive to questions we had before and during our stay and provided us with excellent suggestions on places to go and things to do in the area. The house was well-appointed with treats and all of the comforts of home. It’s a roomy house, with a delightful deck from which we saw a huge deer run through the front yard on our first morning. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is in the house, including extra bedding and pillows, a well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of comfy furniture. “Laura was completely attentive and helpful from the moment I considered her place for my family trip/brother's birthday weekend in Yosemite. Twaine Harte is an adorable little town and Peace of Your Harte was the perfect setting for us. We were able to cook as a family during both evenings and enjoy chatting over beers around a sweet little fire. The beds are comfortable and the patio is perfect for breakfast on a crisp Fall morning. The drive to Yosemite was more challenging than I anticipated (narrow and steep) yet coming back to Peace of Your Harte in the evenings was incredibly relaxing. I also mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and there were cookies, chocolate, and a birthday banner set up! Incredibly sweet of Laura!”

It was a fantastic experience staying at this vacation home. I had family over from my home country and they loved the entire experience. The home was setup to be very welcoming and great for guests. We fell in love with Twain Harte. It's such a quiet and serene place to be. Laura has a great guide book which lists interesting places that guests could check out. Everything about our stay was perfect. Our goal was to hike as many nearby trails as possible over the course of our 3-day weekend. We had a lovely peaceful experience at Laura's place. The location is great for families.. lots of calm lakes and family-friendly movies. I wish we had more time to explore the music festival scene as it appears to be really lively! Laura was always warm and conscientious with her communication. The home is stocked with many home amenities (coffee, tea, cooking supplies, towels, soap & even dog biscuits!). The neighbors are quiet and friendly. The biggest ruckus was the lone deer who wandered down the street or my 4 year old riding his scooter. Thank you!

The house was exactly as described and Laura does not miss a beat. She really puts a lot of thought into what her guests might want. There is something for everyone....games, magazines, foosball, full kitchen, relaxing deck and chairs, comfy reclining sofa chairs, cable tv, wifi, or just go for a walk and be downtown in minutes. The neighbors were super friendly and people will just stop and talk to you, although I think they mostly thought my dog was cute. My husband and son loved it and we would definitely go back again.

This house is accessible to great destinations such as Yosemite and the Gold Rush country. We all enjoyed the quiet mornings and evenings listening to birds and seeing squirrels and even deer! There is a local doe with two fawns who came by every day. Laura is a fantastic host who thought of everything. The house is comfortable and was stocked with so many necessities and treats, too! We planned a snowboarding trip to Dodge Ridge on rather short notice. The house was perfect for two boys, a small dog and us. Laura was easy to work with. Her response time, made our planning simple. (less than an hour) The home was ready, clean and stocked with the essentials. Laura was kind enough to bring her crockpot from home for me to use on shredding day! First of all, this place is perfect for about 10 - 12 people. It was located in a nice area, we had lots of snow all around the house. Very welcoming environment, very clean, very cozy and well worth the price. We liked the fact that there were waters, and snacks made available for us. A large selection of board games for the entire family. This is definitely a place where we can come back to in the future. Way better than any hotel near by.

We had a wonderful stay for our white Christmas/NY. The house set up is wonderful for families with kids (the living area has a door to ensure proper noise-control). Each room has a space heater that you can adjust to your liking. The house is fully equipped with anything you might need including air matresses. Laura was responsive and welcoming (even when we were running late). She helpfully stocked the house with a pack & play and a high chair so that we wouldn't have to lug our baby gear. We went up for our son's 21st birthday. He wanted to go snow boarding at Dodge Ridge. Wow, everything about the property was better then expected! We will be going back as soon as we can and definitely try to stay in the place!!!

Great place to stay, loved the scenery from the deck...lots of trees and close neighbors seem far away. Also great juxtaposition, feeling in the woods but being so close to town (within blocks) 5 minute walk to restaurants. House is clean and white linens on the bed are high quality. We needed a second cabin to accommodate a family gathering for Thanksgiving. This cabin completely filled the bill; 3 nice sized bedrooms, the master is huge, two bathrooms, laundry room and plenty of folding chairs and tables to extend the dining room table to accommodate a large gathering for a a cozy meal. Furniture and furnishings are comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked to cook for a large group. Laura the owner is super responsive to e-mails, etc. The wholes experience was easy and delightful plus this is a pet friendly rental. We had two small dogs that would be visiting while we were there and this was not a problem for Laura. Good deal, good location, great owner - enjoyed the house for two days

Laura did so much to make my friends and I feel welcomed! Everything about our stay was great. The home was exactly as I expected it to be and in a great location close to the grocery store, pizza parlor, etc. Our entire family was comfortable. Laura was a great host, very communicative and easy to work with.

We definitely left a "Peace of our Hearts" in this lovely mountain cabin. This home worked perfectly for a reunion of friends and family that have moved away from the area and returned to enjoy the Strawberry Music Festival in Tuolumne City. The home is spacious, clean, and well stocked with amenities. Grocery store, restaurants, cafes, quaint shops, and recreation all within walking distance. Enjoy a sip, a bite, a conversation, a book, or bird and squirrel watching on the lovely deck that perches you right in the forest canopy. We sure did!

We stayed in Twain Harte as a part of a last minute trip to Yosemite. Although it is a bit far (~2hours to the valley floor), we couldn't have asked more for our trip. Laura was very helpful and accessible and prompt with her replies. We immediately felt welcomed to the house with snacks and water in the kitchen. The house itself is beautifully decorated and we wish we could have stayed for longer than just one night. You can find a large Safeway and other stores nearby in Sonora, which saved us a lot of trouble as well as we arrived pretty late in the night. The kitchen had all the cookware and utensils we needed to make dinner and breakfast to leave early the next day. Thank you again Laura for your hospitality!

Both host and house were great. The location is very quiet and we saw deer every night of our stay roaming by. The house is very clean and has everything you might need during your stay (only thing we forgot to bring and didn't find was some oil :P) including soap for dishes, soap for clothes washing, towels, bedding etc. Laura was excellent to deal with. She was extremely responsive and very accommodating. Those two qualities were only surpassed by her professional and pleasant nature. Would highly recommend when visiting Yosemite, Hatch Hatchy and Stanislaus forest.

Our stay was just perfect! The house is very spacious, the neighborhood is very quiet. We live in San Francisco and staying at this house was a great way to disconnect, relax, and enjoy nature. We used the barbecue on the terrace and had great dinners with our friends. You can find everything you need to cook. It was exactly was we was looking for. We didn't visit the neighborhood a lot. Instead we drove to Bodie to visit this ghost town and we've also been to the Travertine Hot Springs. It was awesome! Thank you Laura for the treats in the fridge! and for your kindness!

We (me, my wife, and 5 year old) had an excellent experience renting this house out for a couple of days. It is extremely comfortable, and has a big living room, 3 bedrooms (including a master suite) and two bathrooms. The deck is great too and has a nice view of the woods. The house has excellent cell phone reception, and has WiFi. Very comfortable furniture, clean, well maintained, and in a nice neighborhood in the woods. It does not have A/C, but the house stayed fairly cool do to its shady location & extensive fans. It is very conveniently located, and we were a short walk from downtown Twain Harte, which has a variety of restaurants. There is lots to do nearby, and we went to Jamestown to ride the steam train (25 minutes), Columbia park to pan for gold (15 minutes beyond Jamestown), and swam both days in Pinecrest Lake (25 minutes). Emigrant Wilderness with extensive hiking trails is also nearby. Laura was very responsive, flexible, and easy to communicate with.

"We really enjoyed our two nights at this adorable cabin! We had to find a place that was dog friendly for my friends dog and this was surely the place indeed! I was a little worried it would smell or not be so clean for being dog friendly, but that was not the case at all! I love the cabin decor and the living room, and kitchen are so big and open to be able to visit with everyone. The rooms are a little small, but you are only sleeping in them. The beds are amazingly comfortable, and the sheets are softer than my expensive bamboo sheets at home! I am a sheet snob and this was a PLUS for me! The deck was really big and the table and chairs large enough for us to sit around. I will definitely come again and recommend this cabin to others! "We just left today and were sad to go! My husband and I brought our three kids, ages 5, 3, and 4 months, and were joined by my in-laws. There was plenty of space for us and the beds were comfy. Everything we needed for the baby was provided there so that made it so easy! The cabin is located near so many wonderful tourist destinations which was perfect for us. We were also fortunate to arrive just as a lot of snow was falling so the kids had a ball! Wonderful memories were made and we hope to be back before long!"

"Great sized and located cabin in Twain Harte! We are a family of 6, and we had plenty of lounging/movie watching space. We were walking distance to several restaurants and a supermarket. Laura was super communicative and left thoughtful and helpful notes/tips so we could make the most of our time. The smart tv with full cable was especially appreciated by the young ones in our group, and the single level layout was appreciated by the elder folks :) There was also an assortment of toys and games that were great. My 6 yo had itchy eyes during our stay as he's allergic to dogs, but as a pet lover I appreciate when vacation rentals allow pets, it's not a common feature. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Twain Harte area, particularly if travelling with dog(s)."

"We had such a great weekend at Laura’s cabin!!! The cabin has a great layout as the Living spaces were far enough from the bedrooms so our baby good go to sleep while the other kids were still up. Great for families with a variety of board games and an air-hockey table. The bookshelf delighted us. 5 minute walk to the Lake/Glacial Rock--best in the summer. Other tourist delights are Columbia State Park (1800's town with stage coach rides and rock climbing), and Jamestown (lots of Antique stores). The modern kitchen merges with the real-firewood burning living room. Would go back in a Harte-beat (located in Twain-Harte, named for authors Mark Twain & Bret Harte). Cozy and very comfortable. Two bathrooms with showers, deck with grill.”

"We had a wonderful vacation here. The cabin had plenty of space for our family of six plus two Great Danes. A high chair, pack n play, and baby monitor was provided which made our stay so much more convenient without bringing those bulky items with us. We were so thankful to be allowed to bring our dogs as well. There is no secured area to let them out, but we managed. Laura was very kind and offered any help we could have needed. The house is well equipped and we were able to cook meals etc. My older kids LOVED all the games and we enjoyed spending family time together without leaving the home. The neighborhood was quiet and felt private. Restaurants nearby were good and the town was pleasant. This is an older cabin, so naturally there some are basic issues with the house: older carpet in some areas, kitchen drawers a little rickety etc. We did not mind at all, but if your particular about things being in new condition this cabin is not newly renovated. Laura was an excellent host and I highly recommend staying at this location."

"Laura is such a great host, upon arriving we were welcomed with a plate of cookies, cold bottled water, chocolate candy and a bag full of goodies! Our boys were delighted! The house was cozy and clean, stocked with everything you ever need. There is plenty of room for a large family, ours consisted of five and we had more room than we needed. The house is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. We drove to Lyon's Dam one day for some fishing and Pinecrest Lake the next two days for swimming, fishing and exploring. "The owner Laura made sure we had easy access and everything we needed for a wonderful stress free vacation. This house is clean and well stocked. The bedrooms are large and we were able to close the hallway to the bedrooms where the children slept. This enabled us to stay in the living and kitchen area not disturbing their sleep. The children enjoyed the basketball hoop out on the cul-de-sac. We did not have to worry about cars driving by. Very quiet area and easy walk to the Rock or town. “Laura is very responsive, helpful and communicable person! Once we checked in, the house was perfectly clean and cozy. We were about to make bbq, and before we check in, we asked should we bring our bbq skewers, and once we checked in, we saw some surprises there! Skewers! Yay, Thanks to Laura. Also Laura left us delicious cookies and water bottles in the refrigerator, and left a small gift;) She was always answering all my questions I had, & I had a lot of them:) But all of them got answered. The house has a lot of interesting things to do! It has DVD movies, cable TVs, foosball, air hockey, and a loooot of other games like monopoly, scrabble etc. The beds are very comfy and clean!! The house was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed and it was super helpful having notes strategically placed around the house to explain how to use the various amenities (septic toilet, radiant heater, etc). "The house was as described and easy to find. Check-in was very easy. I appreciated that Laura left the key for us at a designated location since we got in very late. The lights and heater was left on for us. The beds and linens were very comfortable. My family appreciated the treats and gifts upon arrival. I loved that the house was fully stocked with many magazines, movies, and games. We were sad we could not enjoy the house to the fullest because there was a power outage the morning after we checked it. We had left minutes after the power outage to make our 10 am skii lessons at Dodge Ridge. We figured the power would come back on within 2 hours like the welcome book suggested and didn't think much of it. We arrived back at 4:30 pm with still no power. Long story short, there was a big outage in a lot of areas due to the storm (completely out of Laura's control). We couldn't stay the night because it was too cold and we couldn't subject our kids to the low temperature. All the heating sources were electric based. Laura was super understanding that we had to cut our trip short and worked something out with us. I definitely would love to go back and enjoy a whole weekend there. My family had fun during the short time we were there. Thank you Laura for sharing your beautiful home with us."

"When I rented this property I struck pay dirt. It was cozy and comfortable and had the best view of the pine trees which is exactly what I like to see when I'm in Twain Harte. The king bed was comfortable and the sheets soft and silky and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of seating in the living area. We hunkered down on a rainy Sunday afternoon watching football in the two recliners that faced the large flat screen TV. On Monday the weather was better and we drove up to Pinecrest and hiked around the lake. This is a great base camp for day trips be it Pinecrest or Yosemite which is a 2 hour drive to the Valley. Laura was very responsive from the first email I sent inquiring about the property and we appreciated all the nice touches she had prepared prior to our arrival. I look forward to my next stay at Peace of Your Harte and would not hesitate to recommend this property. Thank you Laura!"

We had a lovely peaceful experience at Laura's place. The location is great for families.. lots of calm lakes and family-friendly movies. I wish we had more time to explore the music festival scene as it appears to be really lively! Laura was always warm and conscientious with her communication. The house was exactly as described and Laura does not miss a beat. She really puts a lot of thought into what her guests might want. We planned a snowboarding trip to Dodge Ridge on rather short notice. The house was perfect for two boys, a small dog and us. Laura was easy to work with. Her response time, made our planning simple. (less than an hour) The home was ready, clean and stocked with the essentials. Laura was kind enough to bring her crockpot from home for me to use on shredding day! The added touches of treats upon our arrival, dog treats for Honeypot, and chocolates for Easter really made us feel welcome. This is a YES! if you are planning on a visit to this area.

First of all, this place is perfect for about 10 - 12 people. It was located in a nice area, we had lots of snow all around the house. Very welcoming environment, very clean, very cozy and well worth the price. We liked the fact that there were waters, and snacks made available for us. A large selection of board games for the entire family. This is definitely a place where we can come back to in the future. Way better than any hotel near by.

We had a wonderful stay for our white Christmas/NY. The house set up is wonderful for families with kids (the living area has a door to ensure proper noise-control). Each room has a space heater that you can adjust to your liking. The house is fully equipped with anything you might need including air matresses. Laura was responsive and welcoming (even when we were running late). She helpfully stocked the house with a pack & play and a high chair so that we wouldn't have to lug our baby gear. The house exceeded our expectations and we hope to come back and visit it again!

We went up for our son's 21st birthday. He wanted to go snow boarding at Dodge Ridge. Wow, everything about the property was better then expected! We will be going back as soon as we can and definitely try to stay in the place!!!

Great place to stay, loved the scenery from the deck...lots of trees and close neighbors seem far away. Also great juxtaposition, feeling in the woods but being so close to town (within blocks) 5 minute walk to restaurants. House is clean and white linens on the bed are high quality. Laura is a great host and what a great surprise to find Haagen Dazs in the freezer one night when we were like "wonder if there's any ice cream in the freezer"?

We needed a second cabin to accommodate a family gathering for Thanksgiving. This cabin completely filled the bill; 3 nice sized bedrooms, the master is huge, two bathrooms, laundry room and plenty of folding chairs and tables to extend the dining room table to accommodate a large gathering for a a cozy meal. Furniture and furnishings are comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked to cook for a large group. Laura the owner is super responsive to e-mails, etc. The wholes experience was easy and delightful plus this is a pet friendly rental. We had two small dogs that would be visiting while we were there and this was not a problem for Laura. Good deal, good location, great owner - enjoyed the house for two days

Laura did so much to make my friends and I feel welcomed! She had nice little notes throughout the house, clear instructions, neighborhood recommendations, a journal to write feedback and even treats and water in the refrigerator. I especially enjoyed her fall decorations! The neighborhood was also really nice, peaceful and quite with a cute downtown. I would definitely stay at Laura's again and would recommend it to others.

We definitely left a "Peace of our Hearts" in this lovely mountain cabin. This home worked perfectly for a reunion of friends and family that have moved away from the area and returned to enjoy the Strawberry Music Festival in Tuolumne City. The home is spacious, clean, and well stocked with amenities. Grocery store, restaurants, cafes, quaint shops, and recreation all within walking distance. Enjoy a sip, a bite, a conversation, a book, or bird and squirrel watching on the lovely deck that perches you right in the forest canopy. We sure did!

We stayed in Twain Harte as a part of a last minute trip to Yosemite. Although it is a bit far (~2hours to the valley floor), we couldn't have asked more for our trip. Laura was very helpful and accessible and prompt with her replies. We immediately felt welcomed to the house with snacks and water in the kitchen. The house itself is beautifully decorated and we wish we could have stayed for longer than just one night. You can find a large Safeway and other stores nearby in Sonora, which saved us a lot of trouble as well as we arrived pretty late in the night. The kitchen had all the cookware and utensils we needed to make dinner and breakfast to leave early the next day. Thank you again Laura for your hospitality!

Both host and house were great. The location is very quiet and we saw deer every night of our stay roaming by. The house is very clean and has everything you might need during your stay (only thing we forgot to bring and didn't find was some oil :P) including soap for dishes, soap for clothes washing, towels, bedding etc. Laura was excellent to deal with. She was extremely responsive and very accommodating. Those two qualities were only surpassed by her professional and pleasant nature. Would highly recommend when visiting Yosemite, Hatch Hatchy and Stanislaus forest.

Our stay was just perfect! The house is very spacious, the neighborhood is very quiet. We live in San Francisco and staying at this house was a great way to disconnect, relax, and enjoy nature. We used the barbecue on the terrace and had great dinners with our friends. You can find everything you need to cook. It was exactly was we was looking for. We didn't visit the neighborhood a lot. Instead we drove to Bodie to visit this ghost town and we've also been to the Travertine Hot Springs. It was awesome! Thank you Laura for the treats in the fridge! and for your kindness!

We (me, my wife, and 5 year old) had an excellent experience renting this house out for a couple of days. It is extremely comfortable, and has a big living room, 3 bedrooms (including a master suite) and two bathrooms. The deck is great too and has a nice view of the woods. The house has excellent cell phone reception, and has WiFi. Very comfortable furniture, clean, well maintained, and in a nice neighborhood in the woods. It does not have A/C, but the house stayed fairly cool do to its shady location & extensive fans. It is very conveniently located, and we were a short walk from downtown Twain Harte, which has a variety of restaurants. There is lots to do nearby, and we went to Jamestown to ride the steam train (25 minutes), Columbia park to pan for gold (15 minutes beyond Jamestown), and swam both days in Pinecrest Lake (25 minutes). Emigrant Wilderness with extensive hiking trails is also nearby. Laura was very responsive, flexible, and easy to communicate with.
