We believe that pets are a part of the family and if all circumstances permit your pet(s) should come and enjoy Twain Harte & Peace of Your Harte’s Cabins with you.
Pet Fee: A one-time fee is charged to your AirBnB reservation. This is NOT per pet, only charged as a Pet Fee upon booking.

- All pets are to be included in your reservation - the Pet Fee charged through AirBnB is NOT per pet. It is a one-time fee.
- Pet(s) are non-aggressive towards humans and other animals.
- Twain Harte and Tuolumne County + our national parks & recreational areas have strict leash laws. Abide it.
- Take your pet(s) outside to go potty. No potty pads inside the cabin, unless they are used on the areas where there is linoleum or tile; bathrooms, kitchen...
- CATS are not who we typically host because a lot of people are allergic and their dander is much harder to clear out between each guest.
- If you MUST travel with your cat an extra $20 will be requested and paid separately through AirBnB's platform.
- Kitty litter never goes down any of the drains; kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, shower stall or bathtub. It is YOUR responsibility to have planned to properly dispose of your litter with liners for your litter box. You will be charged the Full Damage Deposit if there is any litter in our drains. Do not use our tubs or shower stalls for your kitty litter box.
- IF ANY Kitty Litter is left throughout the cabin we will charge an extra $60 cleaning fee charged through AirBnB after your departure and we will notify AirBnB about the mess left behind.
- If you use the vacuum to clean up the dirty litter and it breaks our vacuum, we will charge you through AirBnB to replace the vacuum and AirBnB will be notified about the broken appliance. We know when, how and why things break inside and outside of our properties.
- If your pet has gone potty outdoors, anywhere, pick it up – including the deck. We provide potty baggies and tall scoopers so you are easily able accomplish this responsible and sanitary task.
- If you arrive and find poop around the property during your pet strolls, and it’s really bothering you, pick it up. We do our best to ensure neighborhood pets & wildlife “deposits” are disposed of, but we are not perfect. We do not have time to circulate the whole property in-between guests.
- If your pet goes potty indoors, clean it up immediately. There should be foam carpet spray in the cabin if your pet accidentally goes on the carpets/area rugs, and/or flooring surfaces.
- If you pet has an accident on the deck, pick it up and rinse it off with HOT water.
- Pet(s) are not permitted on the furniture or on beds. BRING THEIR OWN BED and/or CRATE! WOOF
- If you need a doggie bed, please contact Laura and she will bring you a Paws™ doggie throw bed as quickly as possible.
- If you dog is a shedder you can also ask for extra old sheets to throw on the furniture and beds. Some guests do come without pets, we must think of them, too.
- Pet(s) should not be left alone; however, if it is impossible, guest assumes all responsibility for any issues that arise regarding neighbor complaints, damage to the property, cabin, belongings due to separation anxiety or whatever other reason guest may try to explain away.
- Guest affirms that female dogs are not in heat. If she goes into heat during your stay, you will keep her confined to the deck and not allowed in the Cabin. Guest is to supervise pet while on the grounds and accepts responsibility for any consequences of their pet being in heat.
- Guest accepts liability for any damage or loss whether in and around the Cabin.
- Guest accepts liability for any action of the pet which results in bodily harm to another person or another’s pet while staying at the Cabin.
- Pets are not allowed inside Twain Harte Lake, ever.
